Best time to visit
May to October is the sweet spot: Kazbegi's road is open, Tbilisi is warm without being fierce, and Batumi's beach season runs June through September.

The classic six-day route
Two days in Tbilisi for the fortress, sulphur baths, and old town; a full day on the Georgian Military Highway to Ananuri, Gudauri, and Gergeti Trinity Church; a day in ancient Mtskheta; and a day in the Kakheti wine country.
Add three nights in Batumi if you want the coast as well.
Food, money & halal options
Khinkali dumplings, khachapuri cheese bread, and grilled meats dominate menus, and halal restaurants are easy to find in central Tbilisi and Batumi.
The currency is the Lari (GEL). Cards work widely; carry some cash for village stops and mountain guesthouses.
